In his work, Arnhem-based artist and curator Richard Kofi (1988, Nederland) explores unfinished histories, giving them speculative futures. Kofi’s projects are interdisciplinary, whereby their theme determines their form, and collaborations with communities play a big role. Kofi’s most recent art project C’est l’epoch (shown at Chale Wote festival, Ghana) consists of drawings, photography, performance, and film that he created in collaboration with a collective of artists. Together they transform barbershops into sites of social action.Together with author Simone Zeefuik and the Arnhem-based production house La Fam, Kofi created the podcast Project Wiaspora about the local impact of art.
